The Mouille One-Arm Floor Lamp. Designed Serge Mouille .FL25-3
Known primarily for his work as a designer
of lighting fixtures, Serge Mouille (1922-1988) received a master silversmith
diploma from the School of Applied Arts in Paris. He studied with silversmith
and sculptor Gilbert LaCroix and, after graduation in 1941, went to work in his
studio. Serge Mouille remains famous primarily for
his minimalistic designs and use of uniformly black painted metal materials.
His wall-mounted spot light fixture with articulated arms (the “Spider”) is
typical for his discrete, yet highly functional designs.
The Three-Arm floor lamp is one of Serge's
original designs and is a large-scale floor lamp with an impressive
presence. True to Serge Mouille's
original production philosophy, each piece is made entirely by hand in France
using the original forms, molds and techniques created by Mouille nearly 70
years ago. The unique brass joint allows
the head to swivel and turn to any position and hold steady. Each piece is stamped and numbered. Only 600 pieces are produced each year at the
Mouille factory and distributed around the world. 3x 75W/E26 Bulb (not included). Arms can be rotated to a variety of
positions. Made from lacquered aluminum,
steel and brass ball joints. Available
in either black or white lacquer. UL listed.
The living room features a white sofa, and
there is a tall floor lamp beside it. Other than that, there is a single sofa
in one corner of the room, and a dark-brown rocking chair between the two
sofas. The room also features a fireplace that has a huge mirror just above it,
a tiny chair for a kid, a low-level round coffee table, and a matching carpet.
You cannot help but fall in love with the bedroom of this apartment. The
bedroom has a unique, rustic theme that is super chic.
