The Main Street Electrical Parade Returns to Disneyland for the First Time in 21 Years
It's just as magical as we remember.
Cue the nostalgia! For the first time since
1996, the Main Street Electrical Parade rolled through Disneyland last night
after leaving Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Florida last October.
"I was here on the last day when it
closed 20 years ago and I'm here today the first day it came back," said
Trina Blair told The Orange County Register. "There were tears on both
days. Tears of sadness back then, but now tears of joy."
The famed nighttime parade debuted in 1972
at Disneyland's Main Street USA and officially returned to the California park
last night for a special $95 ticketed event. From the Instagrams those lucky
guests posted, it looked totally worth the money to see all the classic
characters from old-school favorites like Alice and Wonderland to Pete's
Dragon.
If you want to relive your childhood
memories in person, you'll have to book a trip to Disneyland soon since the
Main Street Electrical Parade will run only until June 18, 2017.
