Enrico
Franzolini was born in Udine, Italy where he studied architecture at the
University of Venice. In 1972, he was invited to the 36th Biennale exhibition
of Decorative Arts in Venice, exhibiting two objects produced by the Livio
Seguso glass factory in Murano. In 1978, his first personal exhibition at
Plurima gallery in Udine marked the beginning of his interest in minimal
architecture.
Vicente
Garcia Jimenez was born in Valencia, Spain. He graduated in Industrial design
at the faculty of Castellon De La Plana. In 2000 he started collaborating with
Santa & Cole in Barcelona, developing new lighting and furniture projects.
In 2003 he moved to Italy where he met and started collaborating with Enrico
franzolini.
Foscarini Big Bang LED Suspension. Suspension lamp with diffused, direct and indirect
light. The lamp consists of an epoxy powder coated white aluminium plate and 6
different shaped translucent methacrylate slabs which fit into one another
thanks to purpose designed couplings cut into the slabs. In the red version,
the slabs are silk-screen printed and coloured on the outside. The four LED
circuit boards are installed on the aluminium plate that acts as a dissipater,
and covered by translucent polycarbonate screens. Two stainless steel
suspension cables and transparent electrical cable, ceiling canopy with
galvanised metal bracket and epoxy powder coated white metal cover. White and
Red.
